About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Chief Executive Officer to join CCT due to the retirement of the well-respected incumbent. The Chief Executive Officer will provide visionary leadership and inspiration to the passionate, committed and values driven team of employees and volunteers based around the State. Leading the executive management team in the delivery of all aspects of advocacy, prevention and supportive care services, and research, the role will also ensure the achievement of CCT’s strategic, operational and financial objectives in an effective and sustainable manner. The Chief Executive Officer will work closely with and support the Board in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and the provision of strategic advice on policy and operational matters. A key focus will be to strengthen collaborative relationships with government, the health sector, community and donors, and maintain a strong public profile to increase awareness of the work of CCT.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record as a highly principled, values driven leader with a capacity to lead and manage a complex, not-for-profit community services organisation. Contemporary leadership, people management and cultural development skills are essential, together with strong business acumen and the ability to oversee the organisation’s fundraising and financial management strategies. Exceptional interpersonal and representation skills to assist in engaging and communicating with influence and building effective working relationships are also required.
This is an outstanding opportunity to drive the strategic direction and vision of CCT in achieving its mission and continue to build the profile and public awareness of CCT in order to make a meaningful difference to the Tasmanian community.
