About the role

The Manager, Clinical Services will manage a team of clinicians who are responsible for conducting assessments for access to Forensic Disability Clinical service programs, designing individual and group treatment programs for offence-specific or offense-related behaviours, and coordinating access to these programs. The Manager Clinical Services will oversee the development of treatment plans for residents of the residential treatment program and monitor progress and ensure legislative and programmatic reporting requirements are met.
The role will provide specialist clinical advice and leadership to a challenging and dynamic environment. The role will foster and develop collaborative multidisciplinary teams, establish quality monitoring processes, and drive continuous improvement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage, develop, provide and review specialist assessment and intervention services provided by the Disability Forensic Assessment and Treatment Service (DFATS), including decision-making authority on the service response to complex forensic clients.
- Manage practice and clinical service delivery, operational management, project development, strategic planning and implementation to departmental staff and staff from other agencies, regarding programs and services to complex forensic clients.
- Develop performance plans and management strategies for a multi-disciplinary staff unit including co-ordinating and participating in the provision of specialist staff development and training to improve staff competencies.
