About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Located in North Richmond, you will work collaboratively with the Group Employee Relations Manager and wider ER team to provide expert advice within a complex, evolving and fast paced industrial environment at Mercy health.

The role partners a diverse set of stakeholders of all levels and acts as a trusted technical advisor on complex case management; local and enterprise wide change initiatives; responding to Fair Work applications; and contributing to the development of strategic ER objectives to best position Mercy Health workforce activities.

There is flexibility to engage on a part-time (min 0.8 FTE) or full-time basis with access to hybrid working.

ABOUT YOU:

Legally trained with experience as a practicing lawyer, you may have transitioned to or are looking to transition to an internal advisory role within an organisation.

You will be a strong communicator with experience working at a senior level with demonstrable client and/or business partnering skills within a complex operating environment, ideally with exposure to the Health and/or Aged Care sectors.

You will hold strong data analytic skills encompassing advanced Excel skills whilst also adept at identifying, drafting and conversing policy document changes driven by legislative updates.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
  • Provide a current Police Record Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
  • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health’s policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).
