Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney is a not-for-profit organisation that is a part of the Lifeline national network providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. We exist to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone and are committed to empowering Australians to be suicide-safe through connection, compassion and hope.
We are a PBI charity that stretches across 15 local government areas in the South West and Western Sydney corridor and an entity of the Uniting Church which is overseen by a local Board
About the role
Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer who will consolidate recent organisational changes and equip and lead the organisation as it strives to live out the vision of ‘’An Australia free of suicide’’ and its purpose ‘’to respond to, support and empower individuals and communities in need”.
Located at Smeaton Grange and with premises and retail stores currently ranging from Castle Hill to the Southern Highlands, the organisation offers a comprehensive range of services, including telephone crisis counselling, suicide prevention programs, financial counselling, community outreach and training.
The Chief Executive will bring strong leadership to the team of volunteers and paid employees, strengthening an inclusive culture and building capability. They will consolidate recent organisational changes while seeking further opportunities for financial sustainability by growing income, including philanthropy and fundraising, as well as identifying administrative efficiencies. The Chief Executive will be instrumental in deepening community engagement and reinforcing corporate and supporter relationships.
Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney is a member of Lifeline Australia and operates under the auspices of the Uniting Church. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the organisation operates within and exemplifies the values and ethos of both organisations.
The Chief Executive position is a full-time role. Remuneration and employment conditions will be directly negotiated with the successful applicant.
