About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a driven Alumni Engagement Manager to come join us in the University Advancement Team. This role reports directly to the Associate Director, Alumni and Advancement Operations and will work across the Advancement team to develop and deliver innovative strategies to increase engagement with the university’s industry leading, high-profile, and high net worth alumni community.
Utilising your expertise, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Alumni Impact Program designed to deliver on key Advancement priorities, including identifying opportunities and cultivating relationships with high-profile and philanthropic alumni prospects. You will grow and manage our high-profile portfolio to increase value for the university.
In this collaborative role, you will also work closely with Advancement colleagues to align programs with divisional goals and to develop positive working relationships with key Swinburne teams such as the placements, marketing, media and communications and research teams as well as the broader academic cohorts.
You will also engage in senior level engagement, supporting the Director of Advancement and the Vice-Chancellor on key strategic alumni related engagements.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
· Proven ability and extensive experience in stakeholder relationship management and development and delivery of strategic engagement initiatives
· Demonstrated organisational and project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and reporting to deadlines with limited supervision
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail
· Capacity to think and work innovatively, effectively and flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team environment
· Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships, including in cross cultural environments, and the capacity to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or – an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
