RFDS Victoria’s Marketing and Fundraising team is responsible for communicating the RFDS Victoria story to a range of audiences and for funding the ambition of the organisation, enabling us to deliver services to patients and clients. We work to ensure we maintain the financial stability and brand integration of the organisation.
This includes everything from Fundraising and Philanthropy through to Corporate Partnerships and Communication, Marketing, Events, Education and PR.
About the role
The Communication Administrator – Events and Engagement, will work as a part of our high performing and collaborative Marketing & Fundraising team. The role will support a diverse portfolio that includes events, government advocacy, and community engagement, whilst providing administrative support to the broader Communication and Fundraising Teams. The Communication Administrator – Engagement will champion the accuracy and growth of the engagement portfolio (government, community and events) through meaningful stakeholder communication, accurate record management and proactive engagement, campaign and event support.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide general administrative support to members of the Communication, Brand and Engagement team
- Provide phone support to the broader Marketing and Fundraising department
- Work collaboratively with members of the Marketing & Fundraising team to plan and deliver a broad range of engagement activities & events to enhance the supporter and stakeholder experience
- Coordinate stakeholder data lists including processing regular updates in the fundraising CRM, The Raiser’s Edge to support our data hygiene program
- Liaise with stakeholders to manage their attendance at events including processing their bookings in to The Raiser’s Edge
- Respond to incoming stakeholder enquiries and requests (via phone, mail and email) in a polite and timely manner
- Support relationships with key stakeholders including government, industry stakeholders, community groups, donors and supporters to assist them to fulfil their requests
- Gather information and research to support government, stakeholder and community engagement activities
- Provide written communication support for government, stakeholder and community engagement activities
- Support the distribution of eDMs and digital communication
- Generate timely reports, invoices, data files and other necessary documentation to support the engagement portfolio
- Seek event specific donations to aid raffles and silent/live auctions
- Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation to support business rules and enhance efficiencies
Qualifications and experience required:
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience working in an administration, events, communication, marketing or engagement role (essential)
- Tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Community Development, Event Management or Public Relations (desirable)
- The Raiser’s Edge CRM experience (desirable)
- Experience that demonstrates an understanding of the not-for-profit sector (desirable)
Special requirements:
- Victorian Drivers Licence (desirable)
- Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance Check
- Working with Children Check
- Flexible Hours – willing to work occasional nights and weekends to deliver events and community engagement activities.
