Organisation Name : Public Skills Australia via Rosemary Hardham & Associates

Public Skills Australia (PSA) is a newly formed Australian Government initiative established to provide services that support skilled and robust public safety, public order, public resilience and government workforces. 

It is responsible for providing consultation to inform workforce planning and training product development to meet industry and policy needs; implementation, promotion and monitoring of strategies that drive improvement to training delivery; and stewardship of intelligence relating to workforce challenges and skill needs.

Reporting to the Director Workforce Strategy, the role forms part of a small, agile operational management team and is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of successful projects including planning, monitoring and tracking deliverables and milestones, managing budgets, risks, procurement and contractual obligations.  It also has responsibility for embedding a project methodology across the business, collaborating with key stakeholders and keeping a broad audience apprised of project progress, risk and mitigation strategies.

With a passion for genuinely making a difference to an organisation’s success, your experience in leading and managing projects has ideally been gained within public sector, statutory authority or broader not-for-profit environments with a focus on research, policy or training development projects.   

You may be looking to take the next step in your career or consolidate your experience as part of a collaborative, energised team.  Either way your exceptional project management, stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities, coupled with a demonstrated ability to achieve sustained results will guarantee your success.  

The role will be for an initial contract through until 30 June 2025.
