Goulburn Valley (GV) Health is a Regional Public Hospital and Health Service for the Hume Region of Victoria, with main campuses located at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth. The main campus in Shepparton is the major acute referral hospital for the sub region. Additional sites are also located in Shepparton, Seymour, Benalla and Wodonga. GV Health provides a range of acute, subacute, mental health, aged, primary health and community services across the Goulburn Sub-Region within the Hume Region.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer position is part of the Executive at GV Health and is responsible for providing accurate and timely advice and solutions to the Chief Executive in relation to strategy, board governance and community engagement. Leading purposeful advocacy and fostering strategic alliances with individuals and agencies such as government ministers, local members of parliament, government departments, local government and tertiary education providers are key accountabilities.
Ideally, you are a seasoned Executive or senior leader – resilient and agile, with high level communication and engagement skills that is supported by sound business and political acumen and a contemporary leadership style. Prior experience in media management, governance, and strategic projects is essential. You will also have relevant tertiary qualifications and an understanding of and ability to work comfortably in the complex governance environment of health services in Victoria
