Your role:
The Housing Manager will lead a team of staff that contributes to the delivery of housing programs at the local level. These programs support clients across the Access business stream, people who are currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
What you will do:
The Housing Manager will lead a team of about seven staff that establish and maintain relationships with all clients, their service providers, the community, and other support agencies.
The Housing Manager will provide expert advice, coaching and support to direct reports, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring all team members are operating in a productive and safe environment. The Housing Manager will be responsible for creating a team culture built on respect and meeting performance goals by working to the principles of the Housing Practice Standards.
The manager will also be responsible for building and managing internal and external relationships that create direct benefits to DCJ clients.
What we’re looking for:
Will need to be able to motivate and encourage the team/unit to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients and the department, in a high-volume work environment.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment to manage your own work and the team priorities, and to support others to achieve their work goals
Ability to assist the Senior Client Service Officers and Team Leader – Tenancy with complex service issues and policy interpretation.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Possession of Current NSW Driver s Licence. Must be willing to provide evidence of your valid licence through the Service NSW app.
