About the organisation
Merri Outreach Support Service (MOSS) was established in 1989 with the aim of providing better access to support, housing, and social options for people who experience homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. The Agency also seeks to address the underlying social and structural causes of homelessness. This is the context from within which all decisions, policies, and office procedures are developed.
Merri Outreach Support Service is an innovative and progressive community service organisation that supports marginalised women, men, and children who experience homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. MOSS delivers services from offices in Broadmeadows, Northcote, Reservoir, and Brunswick.
About the role
Join a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to take on the role of Coordinator for our Assertive Outreach teams in the Northern Metropolitan Melbourne region.
As the Coordinator, you will provide leadership and support to our dedicated team members as they work tirelessly to assist individuals sleeping rough or facing the threat of homelessness. This position is integral to our project aimed at bridging the gap between rough sleepers and essential service systems.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Assertive Outreach teams, ensuring the effective delivery of services tailored to the specific needs of each local community. You will collaborate with stakeholders, maintain direct reporting requirements, and uphold the shared commitment to excellence in service delivery.
