  • Excellent opportunity to make a real impact
  • Picturesque, waterside city with grand heritage architecture

The Organisation
With a rich history and compelling backstory, Ashleigh House—formerly known as Sale Elderly Citizens Village—is the sole community-owned aged care service provider in Sale. Located in a thriving town just 2 hours from suburban Melbourne, Ashleigh House offers a range of living options for residents, including a full care facility, a dementia wing, and independent living units.

Residents enjoy excellent lifestyle amenities that enable them to pursue their interests and maximize their potential. These amenities include hairdressing services, resident rooms, a library with IT access, a games room, a gym, and specialised dementia and memory support services.

Ashleigh House, a locally managed not-for-profit entity, excels in providing high-quality aged care services and accommodation for the elderly in the community. This strong foundation ensures the continued delivery of exceptional care. It is a values-based organisation with committed and caring staff.

Picture a city adorned with bollard-lined boardwalks, port side cafes, and a vibrant arts scene set against the backdrop of grand heritage architecture. Sale, a waterside gem, boasts an endless array of stunning lakes and rivers, along with easy access to the world-famous Ninety Mile Beach, earning it well-deserved bragging rights.

The Role
Your brief is to lead this esteemed organisation through its next Strategic plan. You will have the opportunity to continue to shape the brand of the organisation as it continues to transition into the “Ashleigh House” name – which can then flow into all areas of care and connection with the broader community.

The opportunity to strengthen the leadership skills of the executive team, contributing strongly to governance, risk management and financial operations.  It will be important to build trusted relationships with the existing team, to endure any upcoming changes and ensure that the depth of care and individual service remains.

Your aptitude in understanding the operations of a service delivery organisation will allow you to ensure effectiveness of all business areas – and guide the organisation into a strong and flourishing future.

The Person
Your extensive background and experience in aged care or a similar service delivery model equip you with the skills needed to manage day-to-day operations effectively while ensuring that regulatory changes and compliance remain the cornerstone of good practice.

You excel in risk management, governance, and evaluation, and will drive continuous improvement through close collaboration with the board and leadership team.

As an excellent people leader, you will promote a strong workplace culture, motivate staff, and lead organisational change.  By empowering and supporting your functional leaders, you will share your expertise to foster a high-performance culture.

With a keen understanding of sector trends and a focus on organisational sustainability, you will provide valuable insights into both the current and future states of the industry.

Above all, your natural empathy and connection to the elderly community will guide your decisions and vision, ensuring positive outcomes for all.

The Rewards
Ashleigh House offers a leadership role that will continue to support your career aspirations. This role will resonate strongly with not-for-profit executives who understand the role and value of supporting the elderly.

Along with an attractive compensation package, they can offer salary packaging with ensuing tax benefits.
