Our client, Kids First Australia, is a highly respected child-centred and family-focused community services organisation that works with and supports children and families. They are one of the most respected child welfare organisations in Victoria and have operations in NSW, SA and WA and have acquired a distinguished reputation for their record of leadership and innovation in the design and provision of Early childhood education and care, children, youth and family services and prevention and recovery services.
Reporting directly to the CEO and as a key member of the Executive team, you will lead a professional team across Finance, Asset, Facilities and Fleet, Administration, Digital, Data and IT functions across the organisation. This position is responsible for the planning, implementing, managing, and controlling of all financial and corporate support services activities that ensure the organisations long term strategic financial sustainability and accountability. This includes direct responsibility for budgets, forecasting and reporting, financial operations, procurement, facilities, assets and fleet and business services.
You will also;
- In conjunction with the CEO, ensure that the Strategic projects and initiatives are planned and delivered in accordance with organisational and board requirements.
- Lead and manage the preparation of the annual budget, in consultation with the CEO and Executive team.
- Lead the Administration and Digital, Data and IT departments ensuring organisational efficiency through the development, implementation and continuous improvement of business systems and processes.
- Provide leadership of an engaged team who are performing and delivering to a consistently high standard.
- Positively influence and contribute to the team culture that focuses on meeting the internal and external stakeholder needs.
The successful candidate will possess highly developed financial management skills, be commercially savvy, have sound understanding of all the governance, risk and compliance requirements, be strategic and have proven experience working directly with a CEO and a senior executive team. You will be a strong leader who can develop and execute strategy, drive improvement across an organisation, see the big picture and possess outstanding people skills.
You will be tertiary qualified with CPA qualifications, ideally have experience working in the not-for-profit sector, possess excellent communication skills, and have sound IT management experience. Your knowledge of the not-for-profit sector including understanding of funding arrangements and acquittals with be highly regarded.
