About the role
Located on Roberts Avenue in the heart of Horsham, we provide childcare and kindergarten services to support local families and build a child’s sense of belonging, resilience, kindness, and teamwork. Learn more about our childcare service in Horsham.
As the Room Leader, you will support the director and a team of educators that are passionate about nurturing the confidence, strengths, and interests of the children in our high-quality early learning service.
You will implement programs that reflect cultural backgrounds and the emerging skills and interests of children and create a play-based learning environment responsive to children’s strengths and abilities.
You will implement daily routines, maintain records of development, and ensure curriculum decision-making contributes to children’s learning and assists them in enhancing their connection with the community, well-being, and confidence as learners and effective communicators.
What’s on offer

About you
Holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or equivalent), you have a sound knowledge of early learning quality and educational frameworks.
You will also bring with you:
- An ability to lead the provision of a developmentally appropriate program for the children.
- An ability to plan, reflect, work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the National Law and Regulations.
- An ability to learn and understand early childhood development theories.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates in Victoria
- Proven track record in reporting and administration and confidence in using computers.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, employee orientation and training.
