About Role

 

Reporting to the Head of SRSS, the Regional Manager for Victoria is responsible for the leadership and ongoing development of Case management teams within the Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS) in selected regions under contract with the Department of Home Affairs. The SRSS Program is a complex and multifaceted program model that works with asylum seekers in the community that are awaiting the outcome of a visa assessment and are considered highly vulnerable due to their economic, visa or health status.

 

This position will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of quality services within the parameters of the SRSS contract. This will include delegated accountability for program budget, contract outputs, including satisfactory KPI performance, and supporting the Asylum Seeker Services Lead with the maintenance and development of service delivery partnership.

 

The position may also represent SSI at regional interagency meetings, forums and conferences related to work with asylum seekers as directed by the Asylum Seeker Services Lead

 

 

 

About You

 

If successful you will be supporting the Head of SRSS to manage the resources, personnel and capacity of the SRSS program in delivering services to target group. You will be required to work independently to ensure quality of service and compliance with contracts with respective region whilst also working with the teams to develop and promote a culture of psychological safety, learning and professional development for staff, and contributing to training priorities in the division.

 

Strong knowledge and ability to operationalise stakeholder engagement including the maintenance of good relationship with funding bodies and key partners under direction of the Asylum Seeker Services Lead will be critical in this position, as will the ability to Monitor and manage budgetary and casework milestones in compliance with contractual obligations and within set delegations.

Essential Criteria

     * Demonstrated leadership of Case Management Teams or similar

     * Demonstrate understanding of SRSS practices, procedures and stakeholders where to refer for information and support.

     * Experience supporting team development and success in understanding SRSS practices and policies including quality and compliance requirements.

     * Experience in management or leadership training and experience working in a not-for-profit leadership role

     * Experience working with asylum seekers and refugees or other highly vulnerable groups, including issues surrounding detention or other institutionalised issues is desirable

     * Proven experience in relationship management of mainstream community, strengthening referral pathways and build capacity of the SRSS Team

     * Adept Strong data analytical and report writing skills
