What you need to know:

  • A salary at SCHADS level 6 which equates to around $106,000 plus super at full time.
  • Part time, 0.6 which is 22.8 hours per week pro rata the above amount.
  • Fixed term contract to 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension.

About the role

The Program:

Lead tenant programs (the program) provide a safe semi-independent living environment in which young people are supported by one or two approved adult volunteer lead tenant/s who provide day-to-day guidance and mature role modelling. The volunteer lead tenant works collaboratively with Anglicare Victoria (AV) staff members in monitoring and responding to the wellbeing of young people.

 

Your role:

Over the next 12 months you will need to develop and then support implementation of the new model.

The key responsibilities associated with the role are:

  • Negotiate the exit of current occupants and contracts.
  • Research appropriate Lead Tenant models and submit a final proposal to the Department.
  • Develop and strengthen processes that support a Lead Tenant model i.e., recruitment of the Volunteer Lead Tenant role, eligibility criteria of the young people, panel process for decision making, intersection between Case Manager and Volunteer Lead Tenant.
  • Support the implementation of the model once service delivery commences.
  • Establish and design Governance frameworks to support the ongoing Lead Tenant service.
  • Plan and explore other options for sustainable exit pathways for young people i.e., AV’s Better Futures Housing Alliance, Boarding Houses, Youth Foyers, Head Leasing.
