Taldumande Youth Services is a leading charity committed to supporting vulnerable and at-risk children, young people, and their families from across Sydney. The team provide a wide range of programs across multiple services - Youth Homelessness, Family Services, Youth Justice Services, Outreach, Education and Counselling.

Based in Northern Sydney in St Leonards, this hard working and passionate team are now seeking a People and Culture Manager to support the team across all facets of HR.

The People and Culture Manager will lead the P&C function, developing and delivering expert support to the management and staff of Taldumande. You will be a self starter, and someone highly fluid and adaptable. You will be someone who is competent across a diverse range of IR and generalist HR matters, and someone ready and willing to coach and support managers and team leaders through hands-on support.

This position will:

  • Build the people-management capability of managers and team leaders and provide hands-on assistance and coaching with key processes.
  • Develop and implement change management processes to ensure organisational changes meet their objectives.
  • Perform Talent Acquisition duties including end to end recruitment management
  • Provide employee relations advice and support to managers and employees on all manners of ER and HR issues. 
  • Be a main point of contact across HR Systems, acting as an organisational contact point for HR systems issues.  

You will:

  • Have a degree in Human Resources or another relevant field / and or 5+ years of experience in a HR related position
  • Have knowledge of HRIS and reporting (preferably Employment Hero).
  • Have a sound knowledge of current employment legislation, Fair Work Act, SCHADS Industrial Award and Enterprise agreements.
  • Have a sound understanding of contemporary human resources practices relating to performance management, recruitment, employee relations, and a general understanding of application within the community services sector.
  • Have sound understanding of risk management and compliance.

Prior experience working in the not-for-profit and youth services is desirable. You must have a current unrestricted Drivers License and be willing to undertake a criminal history check and Working with Children’s Check.
