Haven Home Safe are a registered community and affordable housing provider delivering housing and homelessness services across Victoria. The team provide a range of housing solutions and wrap-around supports to help people find and keep a place they can call home. As a for-purpose organisation, Haven Home Safe (HHS) are committed to bridging the housing divide and creating more inclusive, caring communities. 
 

 

Based in Preston in Metro Melbourne, the team are now on the hunt for a Tenancy & Property Manager to join the team and manage the tenancy and housing functions for the teams housing stock. This role will involve completing, starting and ending tenancy processes, supporting with asset management & maintenance reporting, timely completion of rent reviews, effective complaint management handling and stakeholder engagement.

The team are looking for someone who can bring new ideas – someone agile and eager, and with a high level of customer service. 

You will be dedicated and collaborative in your approach, striving to improve client outcomes and provide exceptional customer service.

 

Role Requirements

  • Provide property and tenancy management functions for HHS managed housing stock
  • Manage Maintenance requests and undertake rental management activities across property maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with team members and community sector agencies to promote and educate on the needs of people who are homeless and experiencing housing stress
  • Work accurately and efficiently across data collection and reporting 
  • Work collectively across tribunal hearings and conflict resolution practices
 
About You
  • An empathetic approach focused on tenant well-being 
  • Experience working in the community service sector and/or real estate in tenancy and property management
  • Well-developed negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, support agencies and community groups to encourage community participation and improve outcomes for tenants
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A knowledge, understanding and empathy of the structural constructs of poverty and homelessness
  • A current Real Estate Agents certificate (desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

 

This role will be in the office 5 days a week for the probation period, based at the Preston office with occasional travel to other offices.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have your drivers licence, and must also be willing to undergo a police check and obtain a Working with Children Check.
