About the organisation
Portland District Health (PDH) provides integrated healthcare and services in the Glenelg Shire in the rural City of Portland in cooperation with other regional health services. Situated in the South West of Victoria, Portland is about 370 kilometres from Melbourne. PDH has a long and proud history of servicing this community. Around 435 dedicated staff provide a range of services across acute, primary health and aged residential care services. The Board is seeking to appoint a talented and visionary leader to become its new Chief Executive Officer.
About the role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for providing a best-practice high quality health service that is cost-effective and responsive to government policy direction and community needs. Engaging collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the CEO will identify and leverage opportunities with a focus on providing outstanding client-centred care and services and driving an organisational culture that is respectful and cooperative with highly engaged employees.
To be considered for this outstanding career opportunity, you will be equipped with senior leadership experience gained in a healthcare setting and be able to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement. You will also need to demonstrate strategic, analytical and commercial skills in management and service delivery within a community focused environment. Possessing a regional sensibility, you will be an energetic and resilient leader who through exemplary leadership can champion continuous improvement and build strong alliances across the region.
