About the organisation
IDEAS has been a key connector for people with disability for over 40 years. As Australia’s leading provider of independent disability-related information, IDEAS made sure the people who reached out to us had access to the most comprehensive, accurate and relevant information about whatever was important to them.
IDEAS has held a strong reputation as an organisation run by and for people with disability. The volunteer Board has a high representation of people with lived experience of disability, led by Chair, Martin Heng.
About the role
After a period of adjustment without government funding to support the disability information service, the Board now wants to breathe new life into the organisation. We want to forge a new path forward that remains true to our mission: to support people with disability to make informed decisions about their daily living in order to lead their best possible life.
To that end, we are looking for a special person – preferably with disability – to use their business skills and knowledge, as well as their commercial expertise and networks to develop a role for the organisation into the future. Working closely with the Board, the successful candidate will have unique opportunity to fashion a new pathway for a respected and venerable organisation, as well as for themselves.
How to apply
nterested candidates are invited to submit their application, including a cover letter and resume, to hr@ideas.org.au. For further information, email mgr@ideas.org.au in the first instance.
