About the role

You will lead the work of a highly skilled team to deliver a core program of work for the organisation, in line with its business plan and its contract with the Federal Government.
- Manage and lead a small team
- Communicate and engage with industry stakeholders, including the Board, enterprises and industry training advisory bodies
- Support the Executive Manager in leading the development of training products and materials to support training delivery
- Ensure that training product development is informed by comprehensive research and workforce analysis
- Prepare advice, briefings, correspondence, presentations and submissions to the CEO, the Board, the Commonwealth and other relevant bodies
The Person:
- An understanding of the policy environment within which the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) system operates
- Demonstrated project management experience including in relation to contract and financial management
- Demonstrated ability to build effective and well-respected relationships with industry, government and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in leading and conducting applied research
- The ability to provide effective leadership, support and clarity to and to build the capability of a team.
