About the role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Partnership Officer/ Associate to join our dynamic team. This role will work closely with the Manager, Delivery Impact, and the broader PRF team in a matrix environment to drive our mission. The Partnership Associate will play a pivotal role in developing processes, templates, and approaches that foster excellence throughout the grant-making lifecycle. You will lead delivery support for specific grant areas and manage select partnerships, contributing to cross-cutting initiatives aligned with our strategic outcomes. 

Location of the role: Sydney/Melbourne

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development of impactful partnerships ready for investment, including conducting analysis, stakeholder engagement, due diligence, proposal development, and evaluation.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand the current landscape and identify potential opportunities, bringing in expertise to inform decisions.
  • Lead the creation of investment proposals aligned with our strategy and priorities in cross-cutting initiatives.
  • Manage new and existing grantee partnerships, ensuring effective support from establishment to re-grant/exit.
  • Regularly update the Giving data platform to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Prepare high-quality materials for Executive and Board decisions, including presentations and briefings to support grant investment decisions.
  •  Innovate and support the development of practices and processes in program and investment development across the Foundation.
  • Assist with knowledge sharing, research, advocacy, and other priorities as required.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  – Experience in a role requiring strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills (strategy consulting experience beneficial).

  – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level presentations and memos.

  – Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and deliver results within short timeframes.

  – Experience and understanding of the philanthropic funding and social purpose sector.

  – Ability to engage with communities and beneficiaries with cultural sensitivity and understanding.

  – Relevant undergraduate qualification or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED

 

 Lived experience or experience working directly in the Foundation’s areas of interest.

  – Experience working with policymakers, experts, or technical specialists to deliver outcomes.

  – Experience in the delivery and governance of funding, such as grants, commissioning, or impact investing.

  – Relevant graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
