ROLE
Are you looking to use your grants and relationship management experience for an inspiring, values-led and impact driven not-for-profit?
Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Foundations and working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Trust and Foundations officer role offers you the chance to work collaboratively across teams in support of SVA’s philanthropic fundraising and social impact.
We are looking for a dynamic, articulate & professional fundraising officer with (preferably) grants and relationship management experience who thrives in working in a fast paced, innovative and changing environment.
This is a wonderful opportunity to build your experience whilst supporting the Fundraising and Partnerships team’s efforts in driving engagement and financial support for SVA’s diverse social impact initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep across grant information and relevant trends, sharing insights across team as appropriate
- Support the development and execution of pipeline of trusts and Foundations
- Identify through pipeline research and secure small to medium sized grant opportunities
- Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective engagement
- Coordinate, implement, administer and conduct acquittal and reports of trust and foundation grant agreements
- Use systems and tools to ensure successful engagement from identification through to reporting
- Use ethical guidelines to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Work with Marketing team and Head of Trusts and Foundations to develop a suite of grant materials
- Support team with administrative tasks, project work and SVA representation at external events as needed
YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Demonstrated experience in writing and securing grants
- Knowledge of and interest in philanthropic landscape
- Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and at all levels
- Excellent organisational, time and project management skills with ability to prioritise and manage competing work tasks to deliver on agreed timelines
- Solutions focussed, highly collaborative with initiative
- Ability to work in cross cultural settings, connecting diverse teams across the organisation, donors and supporters in a changing environment
- Current knowledge of fundraising best practices, in relation to stewardship and relationship management highly regarded
