The Fundraising and Communications Division is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Council maintains a visible, engaging presence in the community; and to inspire and activate support from Victorians. This is achieved through best-practice high volume direct marketing approaches; exceptional relationship management of high value supporters including major donors, charitable foundations, corporate partners and Gifts in Wills supporters; delivery of iconic fundraising events; and product sales and royalties through our retail arm.

The Partnerships and Philanthropy Unit is responsible for developing and implementing an effective relationship management approach with high value supporters to deliver significant and sustainable income to support the work of Cancer Council Victoria – working with major donors, charitable foundations, corporate partners and Gifts in Wills supporters.

About the role

About your opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Gifts in Wills Project Coordinator to manage a range of campaigns and communications to support the overall growth of the Gifts in Wills program, aimed at securing the organisation’s long-term success and creating a future free from cancer. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Gifts in Wills, your role will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of direct mail and online wills campaigns
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of inspiring communications for our GIW supporters
  • Drive the launch, implementation and ongoing evaluation of our brand-new digital hub for supporters who have included a gift to Cancer Council in their Will
  • Help to secure funds for cancer research by managing our new digital acquisition strategy in collaboration with external agency
  • Work on projects relating to paid media, social media campaigns and website development
  • Develop and maintain professional and personable relationships with a portfolio of Gifts in Wills supporters to affirm or influence their decision

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Substantial experience in high-level customer service, sales, marketing, account management or similar role.
  • A keen interest in fundraising and in making a positive difference in the lives of Victorians.
  • Effective relationship builder with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different styles and ways of working.
  • Strong ability to ability to listen actively, influence and negotiate with stakeholders.

  • Base salary of $69,090 to $76,464 p.a. (dependant on experience, pro rata for part time) plus 11.5% superannuation
