The Organisation
Based in the Inner East/City fringe Melbourne and close to public transport, our client is an industry-owned, industry-led, not-for-profit organisation. Highly regarded and at the forefront of their target industry, they partner collaboratively with their stakeholders to continuously improve and empower workforces within their sector. 
They are now looking for a standout HR Coordinator in this newly created role to efficiently streamline internal operations with a broad range of duties. 
  
The Role
Key elements of the role are: 

  • Recruitment and Onboarding – Assist the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews and completing reference checks 
  • HR Administration – Maintaining an updating employee records in the Human Resource Information System and prepare HR reports and presentations, while also responding to employee enquiries
  • Employee Relations – Assisting in managing employee relation issues including grievances and disciplinary actions 
  • Compliance and Policy Management – Ensure compliance with Fair Work Australia regulations and that other relevant employment laws, HR policies and procedures are up to date 
  • Training and Development – Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees
  • Health and Safety – Assisting in managing workplace health and safety initiatives while ensuring all compliance with WHS regulations are up to date

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • 2+ years experience in a similar HR role 
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment laws and regulations 
  • Proficiency in HR systems
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
