About the role

    • Based in Advancement at the City West campus

About the Roles

Advancement Officer (Foundations and Trusts) (HEO 6)

Reporting to the Manager: Philanthropic Programs, you will contribute to UniSA’s fundraising objectives. You will be the key link between the University’s Academic Units, researchers, and external philanthropic competitive granting bodies including charitable foundations, private and public ancillary funds, industry partners, and government and non-government funders. You will provide advice and support academic colleagues through grant application and assessment process and will be responsible for application submissions that secure funds.

Advancement Executive (HEO 7)

Reporting to the Manager: Philanthropic Programs, you will play a critical role in planning, developing and coordinating fundraising programs to maximise the University’s philanthropic income. You will liaise extensively with prospective donors and supporters and manage a portfolio of relationships to generate support for the realisation of philanthropic outcomes. You will be responsible for implementing a growth strategy and will plan and implement a University-wide approach to securing and managing bequests in addition to developing new fundraising communications and marketing.

Senior Advancement Executive (HEO 8)

Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, you will provide subject matter expertise and extend advancement activity across the University. You will engage and build new partnerships with prospective donors and supporters and manage a portfolio of relationships to generate support for the realisation of philanthropic outcomes. You will conceptualise and implement a growth strategy for a range of varied fundraising programs, and ensure compliance of those programs, identifying risks and make recommendations to improve outcomes. You will assess new opportunities in relation to philanthropic activities and manage complex interactions with senior prospective donors and influential individuals

About Advancement Services

The Advancement Unit’s function is the strategic management of relationships to increase understanding and support among key University constituents. The Unit aims to secure financial support from donors who wish to contribute to the achievement of the University of South Australia’s vision and values; engage alumni in the life of the University as volunteers, advocates, supporters and donors; and manage relationships with current and potential supporters of the University.
