About the team
The Information and Technology team supports the Director Information and Technology and Director Corporate Property through management of strategic projects, support and coordination of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and management of the agency’s corporate property footprint.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Project Delivery, this role will develop, manage, and implement a range of projects within NSW Trustee and Guardian, to support and improve IT service delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure successful execution of complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage the key project levers including, scope, schedule, budget, quality of deliverables, risks and issues, as well as resources and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a range of project related documents as required, including Project Brief document, Business case, Project Management Plan, Project Closure report, Status reports, RAIDD registers (Risk, Action, Issue, Dependency, Decision), and project schedule.
- Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key projects within NSW Trustee and Guardian.
- Manage projects designed to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness of service delivery within NSW Trustee and Guardian.
- Provide timely advice and communication to key stakeholders across within NSW Trustee and Guardian regarding project status and implementation issues.
- Provide high level advice and support to project team members in undertaking tasks and implementing project plans as required.
- Contributes to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and processes for NSW Trustee and Guardian.

About you
Working as part of a collaborative ICT team in a dynamic and results-driven environment, you will have extensive proven experience with IT project management. The ideal candidate possess and can demonstrate:
- A background in the implementation and continuous improvement large-scale software solutions, showcasing the leadership skills to effectively manage complex projects, deal with competing pressures, while identifying and assessing risks.
- You are a committed and competent project management professional with demonstrated experience in managing ICT/technology projects.
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, or hybrid), standards, and processes, and understand how they are applied.
- You demonstrate solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills within a challenging business environment.
- You have the ability to effectively manage key aspects of projects, including scope, time, dependencies, risks, budget, resources, and quality.

Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience in strategic and innovative project management and an excellent understanding of project methodologies, processes and procedures.
- Experience of managing projects in a similar sized organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration, as well as ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project deliverables.
