The Cowboys Community Foundation (CCF), the charity arm of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, is looking for an exceptional General Manager – Fundraising & Partnerships to spearhead fundraising strategies that transform lives across North Queensland. Since 2015, our Foundation has been dedicated to breaking barriers and providing equitable access to education, training, and employment. 

About the Role 

This is not your average fundraising role. We need a visionary leader who can craft and execute fundraising strategies that fuel our mission and drive sustainable impact. Reporting to the CEO and leading a passionate team of three, you will: 

  • Develop & Implement Strategy – Design and execute tailored fundraising initiatives that diversify revenue streams and enhance long-term sustainability. 
  • Drive Growth & Engagement – Cultivate strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, philanthropic organisations, and community supporters. 
  • Lead & Inspire – Mentor, coach, and empower a high-performing fundraising team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. 
  • Maximise Impact – Oversee key fundraising channels, including philanthropy, corporate partnerships, grants, community giving, major events, and bequests. 
  • Strengthen the Mission – Work cross-functionally to embed a shared responsibility for fundraising across the organisation and grow opportunities for meaningful supporter engagement. 

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

We’re looking for a game-changer—someone with the drive, expertise, and vision to take our fundraising to the next level. 
  
Essential Skills & Experience: 

  • Senior leadership experience within the fundraising sector, with a proven ability to drive and diversify revenue streams. 
  • A strong track record in securing significant philanthropic gifts, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships through compelling pitches and proposals. 
  • Exceptional storytelling, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. 
  • A dynamic leadership style, with a commitment to coaching and developing team members. 
  • Experience in setting, managing, and achieving financial targets. 
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities. 
  • A deep understanding of social impact and ethical fundraising practices. 
  • Willingness to work locally from our Townsville QLD office.
