Head of Development

Since our foundation in 1949, UNSW Sydney has made an ongoing commitment to improve and transform lives in Australia and globally.

This year marks the launch of UNSW’s new long-term strategy, Progress for All – an ambitious 10-year roadmap that drives societal impact. In consultation with more than 9000 students, staff, alumni, donors and other partners, four key impact focus areas have emerged: accelerating the transition to a sustainable society; advancing economic and social prosperity; enabling healthy lives; and strengthening societal resilience, security and cohesion. Concerted efforts in these areas will empower UNSW as stewards of positive societal change at a local and global level.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development as the new Head of Development you will lead on a strategy to achieve significant philanthropic revenue targets, focusing on the faculties of Science and Engineering while applying an entrepreneurial approach to team leadership as they contribute to the wider UNSW fundraising program targets.

You will be someone who embraces the responsibility of a personal portfolio comprising major and principal gift donors and prospects while also leading others to cultivate and solicit major, principal, and planned gifts in support of the University’s fundraising priorities.

Success in this role will see you working in close partnership with faculty members, alumni relations and development colleagues.
