The CEO will provide executive leadership and operational direction to drive MDH’s Vision, Priorities, Objectives, and Strategic Directions. Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for executing MDH’s strategic goals, ensuring the organization maintains a stellar reputation, complies with regulations, and promotes community health by delivering well-coordinated, accessible services. MDH is dedicated to fostering strong, effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have proven executive experience in the healthcare sector, demonstrating success in leading complex health services and programs, achieving performance goals, and managing budgets. Relevant tertiary qualifications, along with in-depth knowledge of current trends in Victoria’s and Australia’s public sector health systems, are essential. Strong relationship management skills and a deep understanding of governance and risk management frameworks are required.
