- Modern Slavery Transitional Housing Program – provides case work and housing assistance to survivors
About the role
Fundraising and Development Manager
Part-time | Location: Bondi Junction/hybrid
The Sisters of Charity Foundation is seeking a proactive, resourceful, and experienced Fundraising and Development Manager who is passionate about social justice and the work we do. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow financial support from a diverse donor portfolio. You’ll build meaningful relationships with donors and partners, helping deepen our impact and ensure the long-term sustainability of our work.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Fundraising and Development Manager will help shape and execute the strategic direction of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. You’ll drive a data-informed approach that aligns with the needs of our stakeholders, the Sisters of Charity of Australia, and our broader mission.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies across key areas, including:
- Major and mid-tier donors
- High-net-worth individuals
- Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs)
- Trusts and Foundations
- Gifts in Wills
- Regular and workplace giving
- Community fundraising (e.g., schools and grassroots initiatives)
The role is focused on cultivating strong and enduring partnerships, inspiring generosity, and enhancing the connection between our supporters and our mission.
About You

- Proven experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or partnerships development
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities
- A data-driven mindset with an innovative approach to growing income
- A genuine passion for social justice and improving outcomes for disadvantaged communities
