About this Opportunity

In collaboration with the Philanthropy and Engagement team, as the Trusts & Foundations Specialist, you will be responsible for increasing the level of corporate and family foundation giving revenue stream in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, as the Trusts & Foundations Specialist, you will create, develop, execute, and deliver events that provide profit, awareness and build relationships for RFDS SA/NT both internally and externally.

This integral role specifically involves:

  • Developing, implementing, and continually managing a portfolio of prospective grant and private ancillary funds, including individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporates.
  • Writing letters of intent, grant proposals and creating multi-year budgets for funding solicitations.
  • Building and fostering strong relationships with funders to determine the right funding opportunities.

 

About You

You are:

  • Experienced at fundraising, donor development activities, major giving and partnership giving programs.
  • Experienced at sourcing funding opportunities, writing grant proposals and submitting grant applications within a fundraising or not-for-profit context.
  • A creative problem-solver, able to develop ideas from initial concept through to successful fruition.
  • A well organised, self-starter with the ability to determine priorities and work with minimal supervision.
  • A great communicator, able to complete public speaking and maintain relationships with a diverse range of people within the community.

To be considered for the role you require:

  • Membership of (or eligible for membership) the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA).
  • Current and valid driver’s licence issued from an Australian State or Territory.
