The Organisation
Lead and influence national health care policy as Chief Executive Officer of Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA), Australia’s primary health care nursing advocate representing 1 in 8 registered health professionals and with a membership of approximately 10,000. You will be driving constructive change in this established, future-focused organisation with strong board support and $15M annual budget.
Be a positive disruptor – challenge the status quo while fostering values-driven collaboration that celebrates diversity and high performance across a team of 80 staff.
The Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead APNA through its next phase of sustainable growth and strategic influence. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will build upon the solid foundation established by your predecessor while guiding positive change across the organisation. This will be
- Translate strategic vision into actionable plans delivering real member impact
- Drive impactful advocacy for primary health care nursing
- Lead organisational transformation with vision, empathy and strategic acumen
- Build trusted relationships across government, health sectors and diverse communities
The Person
We’re seeking an experienced CEO who embodies strategic foresight, political acumen, and authentic leadership. You’ll bring proven change leadership expertise with the ability to anticipate health care trends and shape APNA’s response to emerging opportunities.
