Your Impact
The Professional Learning and Workforce Development Coordinator role is part of the Practice Excellence program area at Foundation House.

The Practice Excellence Area of Foundation House is core to ensuring that the services provided by Foundation House to clients and communities are delivered to the highest standard and are in line with organisational purpose, priorities, and obligations.
The Role
The Professional Learning and Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all internal and external professional learning programs delivered by Foundation House, including leadership and oversight of the identification and planning of professional learning programs informed by Leadership, Team Leaders, and Practice Leads and Advisors within the organisation as well as key external stakeholders.
The Professional Learning and Workforce Development Coordinator provides direct line management to the Practice Development and Learning Business Team.
This position plays a key role in ensuring that all professional learning delivered is coordinated in a manner which is responsive to needs and is aligned with professional practice frameworks and needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate Foundation House Staff Professional Learning Calendars, including Induction; Foundational; and Advanced modules for all program areas.
- Coordinate the ongoing scoping of team learning needs.
- Coordinate all aspects of student internships and placements including stakeholder engagement with Academic Institutions.
- Coordinate on-request professional learning for health, education, and community services, including face to face delivery of professional development sessions; reflective practice and supervision; and on-line delivery.
- Manage and oversee all administration, evaluation and content management required.
- Inform and contribute to design and Implementation of Foundation House Training Modules
- Inform and support the development and delivery of advanced practice activities, including practice seminars; communities of practice; colloquiums, conferences etc.
- Maintain effective systems of recording and disseminating relevant information in accordance with VFST process and procedures.
This is a fixed term, parental leave backfill position available on a part-time (0.9 EFT) basis.
What you’ll need to successfully apply
To be successful, you will need to positively respond to the below selection criteria:
- Post graduate qualification in psychology, social work and/or other related discipline/s.
- Leadership abilities and previous experience supporting practitioners in an education setting.
- Experience in the design and coordination of professional learning programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles to inform professional development design and development.
- A formal qualification in adult education is desirable.
- Proven skills in problem analysis, decision making and providing leadership in the provision of services to clients, community engagement and service improvement.
- A strong appreciation of workforce needs in responding to highly complex social policy issues and work with vulnerable communities.
