The Organisation:
A respected, long-standing community-focused organisation in Melbourne’s South East is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to lead and evolve its people strategy across the business. A leading provider of support services, our client is dedicated to enhancing the lives of their community members.
The Role:
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational HR leadership to support business objectives, build a culture of high performance, and ensure strong compliance and governance across all people-related matters.
Reporting to the CEO, the HR Manager is responsible for:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Align HR initiatives with business goals, lead change agendas and foster growth within a regulated sector.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes that attract and retain top talent while embedding culture and compliance.
- Culture & Engagement: Lead initiatives that build an inclusive, high-performing workplace with a strong focus on wellbeing and employee voice.
- Performance & Development: Drive performance frameworks, coach leaders, and implement meaningful learning and development pathways.
- Workforce & Systems: Manage workforce strategy, HRIS implementation, and operational efficiency in line with changing legislation and business needs.
- Employee Relations: Provide expert advice on ER/IR issues, conduct investigations, manage grievances, and ensure fairness and legislative compliance.
- Budget & Projects: Lead HR budgeting, resource planning, and contribute to strategic business and systems improvement initiatives.
The Candidate:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A degree in Human Resources or Management.
- 10+ years’ HR generalist experience, ideally in aged care, disability, health or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, WHS, and employment legislation.
- Demonstrated leadership, influence, and communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a strong ethical approach to leadership.
- Experience managing a team and fostering collaboration.
The Offer:
The position is offered on a permanent basis at $135K plus superannuation. In addition, you will be able to access attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging.
