The RCH Foundation has the vital role of raising and distributing donated funds to the hospital, enabling the very best patient and family care and support, and saving and improving the lives of our sickest children. While a legally separate organisation, the RCH Foundation works closely with the RCH in achieving its vision.

About the role

Join Our Team as a Manager, Translation!

Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s health? We are now recruiting for a part-time (3 days per week), permanent Manager, Translation to play a critical role in translating the impact of activities funded by the RCH Foundation and its donors, whilst enabling the development of trusted and enduring relationships with our philanthropic partners.

The Role

The Manager, Translation reports to the Director of Impact and Strategy and is responsible for the effective provision of centralised impact reporting, including development of a content library to support the Fundraising team in engaging prospective supporters and nurturing relationships with current supporters, contributing to bespoke donor documents as briefed by the Fundraising team and translation of impact at a donor, organisational, Board and Community level.

About You

  • You are purpose driven and committed to the mission and values of the RCH Foundation
  • You have 3+ years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector, with demonstrated experience in developing and executing communications that translate complex concepts into succinct key messaging that engages donors and demonstrates impact
  • Ideally you have experience in health and or research organisation and/or experience in a fundraising or other NFP organisation
  • You have experience in grant impact measures, and proven success in maintaining positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication, including writing for a range of mediums and high-level presentation skills
  • You have advanced computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ideally, you will have experience using SalesForce or a similar CRM, as well as grant management experience
  • You are confident in your work, but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk
  • You have a commitment to professional development

Key Selection Criteria

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a high level of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to translate complex information for the lay audience
  • Superior interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to prepare highly tailored and bespoke communications
  • A creative thinker with demonstrated experience in preparing various communication materials, including reports, videos and other materials
  • Excellent time management skills and the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed deadlines
  • Ability to work collegially in a diverse and collaborative environment and help ensure coordinated, integrated, and efficient workflow
