While a legally separate organisation, the RCH Foundation works closely with the RCH in achieving its vision.
About the role
Join Our Team as a Supporter Relations Officer!
Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s health? We are now recruiting for a full-time, permanent Supporter Relations Officer to play a critical role in building strong relationships between the RCH Foundation and its supporters, who will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to supporters on the phone, in person and by executing accurate and timely data entry.
The Role
The Supporter Relations Officer reports to the Manager, Marketing and Supporter Relations and works closely with the wider fundraising and finance teams, as well as regularly collaborating and engaging with staff across the organisation. As well as providing excellent customer service to supporters on the phone, in person and by executing accurate and timely data entry, the incumbent will contribute towards improving the effectiveness of systems being managed including the analysis and development of business processes. This position requires 5 days per week in the office.
About You
- You are purpose driven and committed to the mission and values of the RCH Foundation
- You have 2+ years’ experience in a similar position, ideally with experience in the not-for-profit sector
- You have advanced computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ideally, you will have experience using SalesForce or a similar CRM
- You are confident in your work, but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk
- You have a commitment to personal development
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strong customer/supporter relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in the entry and management of data.
- Attention to detail in high volume transaction processing with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with business process analysis or documentation.
- Excellent inter-personal and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with people from a broad range of backgrounds.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and proactive work attitude.
- Ability to work within a team structure and to take responsibility for the completion and delivery of tasks.
- Computer literacy including experience in using a customer relationship management database, as well as word processing, email and spread sheet applications.
