Our Client:

The Role:
Are you an inspiring leader with a passion for building strong, connected communities? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled General Manager to lead this thriving community-based organisation.
Reporting to a volunteer Committee of Governance, you will oversee the strategic, operational, and financial management of the organisation, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the diverse community it serves. You will lead a dedicated team, foster collaborative partnerships, and champion community engagement and advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and organisational development
  • Manage budgets, funding agreements, and compliance with governance and legal requirements
  • Oversee the design and delivery of innovative educational, social, and recreational programs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funding bodies, stakeholders, and community partners
  • Lead, motivate, and support a small team and volunteer workforce
  • Promote the organisation through marketing, networking, and community events

About You

You are a proven leader with experience in community development, education, and/or the not-for-profit sector. You have a track record in managing diverse teams and projects, securing funding, and driving organisational growth. Your communication skills are exceptional, and you are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You understand governance structures, compliance, and financial management, and you have a genuine commitment to social inclusion and community capacity building.

The Offer: 
The General Manager position is offered on a permanent basis at a competitive salary up to $134K plus superannuation. Plus PBI/NFP Salary Packaging.
