Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: $133, 407 to $138, 659 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
This isn’t just another HR leadership role. As Manager – People Care, you’ll lead a talented team of People & Culture Business Partners and Health, Safety & Wellbeing professionals, helping to shape the experience of a diverse and purpose-driven workforce.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders to provide expert advice and strategic guidance on everything from complex employee relations, health safety and wellbeing, through to driving cultural change and building leadership capability across the organisation.
In short, you’ll be the connective tissue between our people vision and day-to-day reality, ensuring that BSL’s practices are grounded in integrity, compassion, safety, and fairness.

What you’ll be doing
- Leading, coaching and inspiring a team of P&C and HSW business partners and advisors
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and shaping organisational-wide workforce strategy
- Overseeing complex employee relations, enterprise agreements, and workforce planning
- Embedding a proactive and inclusive health safety and wellbeing culture, with a safety-first mindset
- Driving continuous improvement across people systems, policies, and partnering services
- Using data and insight to inform decision-making, strategy and operational performance
- Building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including unions and regulators
- Championing equity, child safety, psychological wellbeing, and cultural safety across all initiatives
What you bring
- 7+ years in senior People & Culture and Health Safety and Wellbeing leadership roles within complex, purpose-led organisations
- Strong expertise in HR strategy, workforce planning, employee relations, health safety and wellbeing
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong commitment to coaching and capability building
- Courage, empathy, and confidence to navigate ambiguity, challenge respectfully, and advocate for people
- A values-aligned and trauma-informed approach to complex workplace matters
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
- Deep knowledge of Australian IR/ER and OH&S legislation, awards and employment frameworks
- Experience working with diverse communities and a demonstrated commitment to inclusion
