About the organisation
Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.
About the role
At Lighthouse Foundation, we do more than maintain homes – we create safe, stable and welcoming spaces where young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse and homelessness can begin to heal.
We’re looking for a hands-on, practical all-rounder to join our team as the Property & Asset Coordinator. You’ll be responsible for the upkeep of our homes, hubs and vehicles – making sure they’re in line with our quality standards and suited to the needs of our children and young people.
HOW WILL I HELP?
Lighthouse homes and hubs are therapeutic spaces built around our Model of Care – designed to foster safety, connection and healing. As the Property & Asset Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in creating and maintaining these homes so that every young person who walks through the door feels valued and cared for.
You’ll work across 12 homes and 4 hubs around Melbourne, coordinating building and maintenance contractors, liaising with other Lighthouse teams to involve volunteers and corporate partners in procurement and working bees, and even rolling up your sleeves for the odd repair.
