About the organisation
MOSS has been supporting people at risk of homelessness since 1989. We provide a wide range of programs that strengthen communities, sustain housing, and create opportunities for inclusion and independence. Our Social Support Groups play a vital role in supporting older people, including those with a history of housing instability, mental health challenges, or chronic health conditions, to remain active and engaged in their communities.
About the role
As a Social Support Group Worker, you will:

Facilitate engaging group activities such as cooking, gardening, craft, gentle exercise, digital literacy, and community outings.

Support older people, frail-aged, and NDIS participants to feel connected and included.

Provide advocacy, referral, and practical assistance where needed.

Work collaboratively with the Social Support Group team to create a welcoming, inclusive, and responsive environment.

Contribute to program planning, quality improvement, and community engagement initiatives.
This is a casual position (9:00am – 3:00pm, across multiple sites) within a supportive and passionate team.
