Housing Services Manager (Head of Tenancy & Asset Services)

The Opportunity
Based in vibrant Newtown, this key executive appointment works closely with the CEO to operationalise Metro’s strategic plan and deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes across housing services. Leading a team of around 6 staff spanning tenancy management and asset operations, the Housing Services Manager will strengthen compliance, service quality, and organisational performance.

You’ll play a pivotal role in linking operational delivery with long-term strategy, ensuring Metro continues to deliver for its tenants while positioning the organisation for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across tenancy and asset management portfolios.
• Partner with the CEO to implement business plans, financial sustainability measures, and growth initiatives.
• Drive data-led decision-making, compliance, and continuous improvement under the NRSCH framework.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, values-aligned team with a focus on wellbeing and accountability.
• Strengthen organisational capability through digital transformation and effective governance.
• Build strong partnerships across government, community, and sector stakeholders to enhance Metro’s impact.

About You
You’re a collaborative and strategic leader with a passion for social impact.

You’ll bring:

• Senior management experience in community or social housing, property, or a related sector.
• A proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of NRSCH compliance, tenancy law, and WHS obligations.
• Experience developing and managing and reporting against budgets.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Social Science, or Property (or related field).
