About the role

We help people diagnosed with depression get back on their feet using exercise! ​

Established in 2013, Mood Active is a small, not for profit association based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. We provide low cost group exercise programs for people diagnosed with depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. Participants are typically referred to us by GPs, psychologists and community mental health organisations and feedback from our participants has been especially positive. We are looking for a qualified Auditor to provide an annual audit of the Mood Active financials.

What is required:

  • Standard Audit of the Mood Active financial transactions managed through Xero.
  • Development of an Audit report.
  • Evidence for expenses are maintained in a well structured Google Drive. Currently the expense transaction count averages between 1-3 expenses per month with income transactions averaging around 20 transactions monthly.
  • This Audit is likely to take only 1-2 hours to complete once access is granted.

 

Skills Required

  • CPA / CAA Own computer, phone and internet
  • Ability to work autonomously – including planning and organising
  • A desire to help people to improve their mental health

 

Skills Preferred

  • Experience with Xero (Online Accounting)
  • Experience with Google Drive
  • Experience/interest in mental health or exercise and fitness industries
