About the role
Volunteering Gold Coast Transport has been providing community transport services for Seniors and people with disabilities across the Gold Coast for over 20 years. They are one of the Gold Coast’s leading transport providers – completing over 2100 trips per week.
Volunteer Drivers play an integral role in providing these transport services to VGC clients, with key tasks including door-to-door client pickup, assisting clients to enter and exit the car and engaging with clients to ensure they have a safe and comfortable trip. This is an exciting opportunity to try something new and give back to the community.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum 1 day per week (between Monday-Friday) from 7:00am – 3:30pm
•Self-motivated with an affable nature
•A sound knowledge of the Gold Coast preferred
•Only applicants with a current clean QLD drivers licence will be considered
•Must be prepared to attend induction and ongoing training in CPR/First Aid, Manual Handling, OHS and other workshops essential to the driving role
