About the role
We are seeking two new members to join the passionate and committed VBB Board, bringing skills that will assist VBB deliver the 2021 – 2025 strategic plan focused on strengthening links with international partner organisations and projects.
Do you have knowledge and experience that would contribute to achieving VBB’s objectives through:
- Volunteering experience and member-based organization;
- Fundraising and donor/stakeholder engagement;
- Social impact measurement and evaluation;
- Marketing and communications;
- Project management.
About the organisation
Vets Beyond Borders (VBB) is an Australian registered not-for-profit animal welfare charity, established in 2003, that deploys experienced volunteer veterinarians/veterinary nurses to animal health welfare projects, in Australia and internationally in desperate need of help to perform their wonderful, but all too often challenging work. https://vetsbeyondborders.org/
VBB delivers three key programs:
- Vet Match – deploying volunteer veterinarians/veterinary nurses to assist with clinical and outreach activities of Partner Organisations around the world
- Vet Train – delivering free clinical training to volunteer veterinarians/veterinary nurses where professional education programs are not accessible or affordable
- Australian Veterinary Emergency Response Team (AVERT) – nationwide data base of volunteer veterinarians/veterinary nurses ready to assist with natural disasters and emergency animal disease outbreaks.
Current board members include veterinarians with international volunteer experience, members with experience in international partnership development, consulting, business development and policy development.
