About the role
The treasurer works collaboratively with other members of the Board and is specifically responsible for the following tasks.
- Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within Australian accounting standards.
- Ensure that a formal audit report is prepared each year and that the annual accounts of CdC Support Group Limited, are submitted to members at the Annual General Meeting.
- With the Chair, and in partnership with the Board oversee the production and regular review of CdC Support Group Limited’s Budget and Business Plan
- Liaise with the book keeper to ensure that the CdC Support Group Limited’s financial records are accurate, protected, backed up, and accessible.
About the organisation
The Cri du Chat Support Group Limited (CDC) supports families (parents, caregivers, family, and friends) of a child or adult living with Cri du Chat Syndrome. It also provides advocacy, awareness and education about Cri du Chat Syndrome to professionals and the general community across Australia and New Zealand.
