About the role
The rapid development of the digital economy is emerging at a time when young Australians still experience social and economic barriers to technological participation. We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to assist us in writing our grant proposals to help us secure funding for our creative arts program. The co-founders of the charity would equally be hands-on in the grant writing process to actively learn about the skills required.
As a registered NFP, Creative Bytes seeks to distribute and deliver engaging creative programs in the audio and visual art technology paradigm. The program that is currently in development will teach relevant digital literacy and techniques around Victoria that cohesively interlink with the current curriculum. As our Grant Writer, you will be working closely with the co-founders and board to help create engaging marketing materials for our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Help identify potential government and corporate grants.
– Assist with writing grant applications.
Key Selection Criteria:
– Demonstrated experience in communications and marketing.
– Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
– Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
– Trustworthy, honest and have high levels of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality.
– Intermediate computer literacy skills.
– Be hardworking, hands on, energetic and friendly.
Desirable Experience:
– Previous project management experience in a charity.
– Experience working with large and major donors.
