About the role

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to use your skills to make a difference in a valuesdriven and community controlled organisation.

Living Proud is seeking individuals to join our Board and would be particularly interested in candidates with skills and experience in community service, legal, finance, marketing and fundraising. Experience at board level, human resources, policy and advocacy would also be highly regarded.  We seek people who are committed to working in a collaborative and constructive way, and who can make a commitment of 12 hours a week for a twoyear term. This includes attending Board meetings. Board positions are voluntary and unpaid.We actively encourage Aboriginal people, people with disability and individuals of all backgrounds, ages, genders and sexual orientation to apply.

About the organisation

Organisation name : Living Proud Inc

Living Proud has provided support to LGBTIQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse) people and communities in WA for over 40 years.

We provide peer-support, information and resources and we are the longest running organisation of our kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Living Proud is the WA partner of the QLife national LGBTIQ+ telephone and web chat peer-support and referral service. We also run health and wellbeing initiatives and community capacity building.

We offer a number of training options for professionals including our award-winning Opening Closets Mental Health training. We also offer other full or half day workplace training to improve accessibility for LGBTIQ+ people. We run a variety of other projects for the LGBTIQ+ community.
