About the role
The Connect And Nurture Volunteers go out to family homes across the Blue Mountains and support the care of the new infant and its parents. They offer community connectedness, a non judgemental listening ear and respite for the family, by caring for the infant, whilst the parent remains at home.
Our volunteers offer companionship, community connection, supervised child care support in-home and light household duties, as respite to the families on the service.
We are looking for kind hearted Parents, Uncle/Aunt’s and Grandparents who have lived experience raising children and supporting families.
You will be:
Caring
Compassionate
Empathetic
Share values of our organisation and
Able to offer a two hour a week commitment for six months.
You will need:
Your own transportation.
A drivers licence is preferred.
Volunteers must provide a Working With Children Check and a Police Check, along with two referees.
