About the role
You don’t need to be a tech wiz for this role – you just need an understanding of basic technology skills and some patience. Typically, our learners are seniors or those from disadvantaged backgrounds or with learning difficulties. You could be asked to help with their phone, laptop or tablet. You can mentor over a phone call/video or meet face to face at a local library as arranged by you and the learner. Help Improve lives by sharing your tech knowledge on areas like:

We provide you with onboarding and guidance, the training you need, and we link you up with a suitable learner and other volunteers to gain valuable customer relationship experience.

About the organisation
Digital Literacy Foundation (DLF) works in disadvantaged communities to achieve universal digital literacy and inclusion.
We offer free one-on-one digital mentoring to people in Western NSW and Western Sydney. DLF also offers free iPad programs to people aged 65+ (or 50+ for First Nations). We have 2 programs: Click and Connect (Penrith LGA) and Making It Click (Western Sydney and Western NSW).
DLF recruits and trains their volunteers at no cost to the volunteer.
