About the role

About the Opportunity

Step into a world where warmth, connection, and shared moments take centre stage. In select cafés across Perth, a special morning tea unfolds, designed exclusively for individuals living with dementia. This isn’t just a gathering; it’s a celebration of community, where everyone is embraced, socially active, and has the chance to forge new friendships.

In a groundbreaking collaboration with local Government and businesses, Alzheimer’s WA introduced the Memory Café concept to Western Australia. Picture cafés with inviting atmospheres, delightful staff, and a spread of delicious coffee and cake, providing the perfect backdrop for these unique gatherings.

We’re calling for passionate individuals to become the heartbeat of these special moments. At Café Boulevard in Woodvale, take the lead in our memory café sessions every Wednesday from 10 am to 11 am, starting 7 February onwards, and continuing every fortnight. Meanwhile, at Market Caff in Subiaco, step into the role of facilitating these heartwarming sessions every Friday, 10 am to 11 am, starting 9 February onwards, and continuing bi-weekly.

Join us in crafting experiences that transcend time and make a lasting impact. Become a Memory Café Sessions Leader and be part of a movement that turns moments into cherished memories.

Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA advocates, educates, supports and engages the 48,000 Western Australians living with dementia, as well their families and carers.
